A Spanish Mountain Wedding

Earlier this year we had the honour of photographing Radha and Jonny's festival wedding.
The stunning location was a yoga retreat in a hidden valley, deep in the mountains of Andalucía.

In the baking heat of a late summer's eve, there was a dudeist wedding ceremony ( yes - the church of the dude is official! ) full of love, laughter, sunshine, poetry, music, a mariachi band, and inflatable flamingos... what more could you ask for?

California Dreaming

A recent trip to the West Coast of America took us from Los Angeles to Seattle via San Francisco & Portland.
A long overdue chance to see old friends and make new ones.
Our journey along the coast started with a couple of days in the iconic Venice Beach.
Getting up early along with local surfers for sunrise, we were able to capture the beautiful morning light on the Pacific Ocean.

Good Folks Barbers

We were commissioned to produce a collection of promotional photographs for Good Folks Barbers here in St Ives Cornwall.
A good chance to photograph up close the craft & tools of the Barbers, in this great little shop full of interesting objects & art collected by the owner.

Bali Spirits

Bali practises it's own unique form of Hinduism which mixes with the island's ancient beliefs and rituals.
Offerings are made daily, and there are many larger ceremonies throughout the lunar year.  There are sculptures everywhere you go depicting the Balinese gods and demons, shrines are found in every family compound, and their ancient traditions are still very alive today.

The Balinese have a culture rich in art and music, and many of the their religious tales are told through ceremonial dances. All this makes Bali a favourite destination for us both, as artists and photographers.  It's a land full of inspiration, and these are just a few of the moments we captured during our visits to this island.

Summer Solstice Wedding

Here's a little flash back to one of our favourite weddings...
On a sunny summer solstice we documented Milo and Jeni's wedding day, which was held at two stunning locations in Cornwall.
The ceremony took place at Gwennap Pit open-air amphitheatre, and then the festivities continued at Prussia Cove.

Sunshine and good vibes blessed us all day for this mid-summer celebration.

JJ Green Vintage Night Market - Bangkok

One of the things we love to do on our travels is visit the variety of markets that can be found in the city back streets.  This gives you a real taste of the local culture, and is always a visual treat for a travelling photographer.  In South East Asia the food and flower markets are a feast for the eyes, but our favourite discovery so far has been JJ Green market in Bangkok.

JJ Green is a vintage night market tucked behind the more well known Chatuchak weekend market.  Unlike Chatuchak, JJ Green seems to be a young locals spot, refreshingly free from tourists.  The whole place has a laid back vibe, and well worth visiting if you love snooping around for vintage bits and bobs, old collectables, second hand clothes, artwork, antiques, bikes, stuffed owls... you name it, JJ Green's probably got it!

The Temples of Kyoto Japan

A highlight of our travels has got to be visiting the old city of Kyoto in Japan.
Travelling by bullet train from Tokyo, speeding past the Japanese landscape we arrived in the ancient city of Kyoto.
We explored many Temples and shrines, Zen hermitages and bamboo forests.
The details everywhere in the architecture, sculptures and natural beauty were captivating.
Here are a selection of images from that journey.

Artists & Craftsmen St Ives Cornwall

The beautiful fishing town of St Ives Cornwall has always attracted craftsmen & artists from around the world.
The Sloop Studios community of creative workshops, based in the town since 1969, needed a range of photographs for promotional material.
